So, in all honesty, I've always sort of poo-poo'd on the Whole30 bandwagoners. In my opinion, it's just this thing called "hey let's eat healthy foods that aren't from packages." #notrocketscience. But...after taking a minute to remove my judgmental pants, I'm seeing it from a slightly less "isn't this just common sense?" perspective. Let's keep it real. We can all gain some valuable knowledge and experience from doing anything for 30 days. So why not try it out, right? Starting Monday, my better half and I will be participating in the Whole30, thanks to the inspiration of my awesome client Megan, who is doing this to bond with her (new) fiancé, Nando. :) Let's gooooooo!

Today and tomorrow are massive prep days for our household. (beware...if you Whole30, you've gotta plan for it. Don't set yourself up for failure, alright?!) Being the sauce master that I am, I NEED SAUCE!! I figure that BBQ sauce is likely the biggest (and most joyous) staple of mine, so my endeavor in saucier responsibilities have commenced! I successfully created a sweet/tangy/spicy Whole30 approved BBQ sauce, that I'll likely be smothering most consumable items in for the next 30 days. Check 'er out!

Ingredients
1 can tomato paste (6oz)
1/4 cup tomato sauce
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
1/4 cup unsweetened 100% apple sauce
1 tbsp coconut aminos
2 cloves roasted garlic
2 tsp paprika
1 tsp sea salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp cayenne powder (optional - but obvi gives it some kick)
1/4 tsp all spice

Here's the tough part. Toss it all in the vitamix and let 'er rip!
